This is a nice product. There's a pin that comes with it that you can insert. It comes with 2 black grenades and 2 green. They all have green levers though. You insert the pin and pull it then push the lever down. Or you can roll it and the lever is so easy that it will activate while rolling. It has a flashing red light on the top that blinks when it's about to explode. It blinks for 3 seconds and clicks and then has an exploding sound effect. It looks fragile but I dropped one a few times and it didn't break. Overall a good product. The only reason it's not perfect is because one of my grenades' packages was partly open and it's not at heavy as I thought. Everything else was terrific! Great for use as a prop in my short film or for a costume.
PS: It's battery operated.

Grandson loves them - dog, not so much
My grandson loves them!! They are a fun toy for any kid who loves to play power rangers or army guys. My grandson and I like to build a fort and pretend our Jack Russell is trying to attack. The dog wasn't sure why we kept rolling these little ticking time bombs in his direction, but my grandson thought it was awesome. It's my husbands dog and he drives me nuts (the dog) so I had a really good time too.

Cool little toy, but the pins broke too soon
My son loves all things Army! When I came across these on AlumiGogo and he saw the pictures, he had to have them. Once they arrived, I gave him two and I kept two just in case the 2 he had broke, I would have back up. Not even 10 minutes after having them, the pins broke. They do light up and make a really cool ticking and explosion sound though! They are a cool little toy and they make a great prop, I just wish the pins wouldn't have broke so soon!

Not bad for the price
They are cute and they'll work for the costume I got them for. I will need to replace the pins, as they are extremely flimsy and bend easily (one arrived badly bent already. Only other comment is that the batteries were dead in 2 of the 4 when they arrived. I opened up the bottom to remove them, and the batteries were rusty/corroded a bit. This doesn't matter to me, as I planned on removing the batteries because I do not want the sound, but just buyer beware.. the corrosion could damage the contacts and it may not work even with new batteries. They were probably just in the warehouse for awhile. For the price paid, not bad at all. Going to paint them up and incorporate them into my next cosplay!

Not Same As Picture, Broke Quickly
The toy grenades I received are different than what the picture shows. The ones I got were all green and less realistic looking than those in the picture. No silver.
Also, the first one I was using, ring/pin broke within a couple minutes of using. I will have to try to super glue it some how.
These are good grenades if they were $1 each. So not a great deal here in my opinion

An ok toy
For the price I expected more. The pins broke off two of them within the first min. They weren't even being played with. The sounds still work without the pin so it's not a huge deal. But if you're paying $5.99 for them you kind of expect them to last a little longer.

Good look but plastic pins break easy.
Good look but plastic pins break easy.
Half of them will not sound off.
Get metal pins from ACE Hardware to look and function better.

Poor Quality Construction and Not Much Fun
Grenades -- even toy grenades -- are going to get tossed. That's the point of a grenade. Pull the pin, toss it at someone or something, cover your ears -- BOOM! Well, these don't stand up to very much tossing, I'm afraid. Within an hour most of them were broken in half. The halves of the shells are held together only with tiny screws. When they come apart they do so in a way that makes them very difficult to reassemble. After the first few tries I just gave up. I suggest the manufacturer supplement the screws with an electronic weld or some adhesive. Not much fun for $10.

My mother's cat had a toy grenade and learned how to tap it with his paw to make it go off. When the battery died, he was a sad kitty. No more sad kitty now that he has another! And this one has a light, too.
