The best kids' movie character since Woody.
I've been collecting LEGOs for the past twelve years. I have more sets than anyone I know, and an entire army of LEGO minfigs. I saw "The LEGO Movie" yesterday. I really thought it was going to be a preachy, "be yourself!!" mainstream kids' movie, but boy was I wrong. It's charming, funny, clever, and touching. You'll love it. So of course I had to run to AlumiGogo and get Emmet, the star of the film. Emmet's dialogue, attitude, and off-the-wall ideas charmed me into buying him in plastic form. He's a must-have for any true LEGO fan! Long live the plastic interlocking bricks!! :D

Excellent reminder of an excellent movie
He's perfect. I don't usually collect LEGO pieces, so I'm afraid I can't speak to his quality comparatively. He seems sturdy, like the ones I played with as a kid. If anyone is curious (I was), his face options are the open mouth smile that you see on the AlumiGogo image, and an even bigger open mouth smile with his eyes closed (I have seen it described online as the "ecstatic" LEGO face - think how his character looked when he got excited about the $37 coffee).
I was really pleased to find a version of Emmet with the instruction booklet. I have some obsessive tendencies, and one is that I really want instructions for even basic tasks. (I have googled "how to boil water" way more times than an adult should ever admit to.) In the scene when he is using an instruction book to get ready in the morning, my first thought was "that would be handy."
So I got myself an Emmet figurine, both as a reminder that not following the instructions can have awesome outcomes (double-decker couch!), but also that sometimes following instructions isn't bad, and that wanting instructions doesn't mean you're not, well, special. It feels lame to say, but there it is.
My only con for the item - since I started displaying Emmet this morning, I have had "Everything is Awesome" run through my head approximately nine times. But that could also be considered a pro.

It took a bit to get here but was exactly what I wanted.

This item is a complete knockoff, not an actual LEGO produced item. The hair on the helmet is unpainted, the word LEGO appears nowhere on the item as it would with an official product. I regret buying this, so be warned before you purchase.

Super fast shipping. Item exactly as described. My boys LOVE their new Emmet!!! We were lucky to attend the Lego workshop at Toys R Us where they both were able to build Emmet's car but it did not come with Emmet so you can imagine their joy when I surprised them with this little fellow :)

Everything is awesome!
I got Emmet sooner than I thought I would and the company is very trustworthy! We loved the lego movie and it was great to get my son his own little piece of the movie for hours of fun. The theme song for the movie has been so much fun and our Emmet is the star around here!

Just what I needed and my son loved it.
Came simply packaged and my son loved it! Just needed this mini figure and was pleased that I was able to purchase it alone without having to buy a whole lego set. A little pricey for such a small peice but good quality as legos usually are.

It's LEGO, How Can You Go Wrong?
This was purchased for my nine-year-old son. We saw the movie, loved the movie, and this was the result-- our very own Emmet. I was really hoping he'd be a little more handy around the house. He's awfully cute, though, so I'll let his lack of skills slide. He's just like the Emmet in the movie, but less talkative. In short, everything is awesome!

Well made addition to the lego city great vehicles sets. Its a great idea for teaching children who does what job and perhaps why. My grandson was most pleased with the lego people. They add to the fun and creativity of the lego sets that represent stories from real life.

LOVE Lego Emmet
LOVE Lego Emmet! I do wish he had the capability to take just his hat off, not hat and hair, but he is adorable and we love him.

Just what I expected and occupying a spot of honor ...
Just what I expected and occupying a spot of honor on my desk at work. Some may not realize that these are mini figures and are a bit pricey for what you get.

everything is awesome. Cool Lego guy
Indeed, everything is awesome. Cool Lego guy. The packaging is a little disappointing (a basic plastic bag), however, no problem if this isn't a gift.

Everything is Awesome
You have to own Emmet. The collection is not complete without him. It really does state his name on his ID badge. I would recommend it.
